Hot Take

The CEE Animation Forum 2023 was like the Oscars for cartoons. Except that, instead of extravagant gowns and controversial speeches, the event was overflowing with unseen worlds, imaginative stories, and the most entertaining use of pixels. And, oh boy, the winners didn’t just win, they showed us that coloring outside the lines and creating something beyond 2D is worth not just applause, but awards too. So here’s a toast to the animators, breaking the barriers of reality, one animated project at a time. The rest of us will cherish the chance to escape into these fabricated realities and maybe, just maybe, find inspiration in their creativity. Feel more alive yet? Because I surely have!

Every team on stage made me proud- from newbies, making their first professional appearances, to veteran filmmakers unveiling an array of highly ambitious projects. Their creativity and bravery encapsulated the ethos of our CEE Animation Forum.
