Backed by Screen Scotland, the renewed branding cements Animation Scotland’s pledge to endorse local creative prowess while heightening Scotland’s global presence in the industry.

This landmark is glorified on the global platform at MIFA 2025 in Annecy, France, the premier animation market worldwide, provides a stage for Animation Scotland to display its daring new stance and a unified studio network under one commanding creative banner.

Scotland is a haven for unrivaled animation and VFX talents. Our new avatar epitomizes our combined strengths, our aspirations, and our escalating clout in the global market. It’s more than a fresh facade, Animation Scotland’s new personality mirrors our evolved role as the national torchbearer for the dynamic industry, promoting talent and demolishing obstacles to foster the flourishing of animation.

Since its inception in 2022, Animation Scotland has strived to consolidate and magnify Scotland’s animation and VFX sector voice, solidifying synergies among studios. The formidable network nationally has arisen from associations with bodies like Screen Scotland, Scottish Enterprise, and Dash Accounting Services. Strengthened relationships with educational institutions support graduate employability and secure the sector’s talent prospects.

An unwavering focus on industry engagement has been crucial to the strategy, with Animation Scotland promoting the country at significant national and international platforms including MOVE Summit, Glasgow Film Festival, Manipulate Arts, and the World Animation Summit. Notably, Animation Scotland has facilitated global investment like Halon Entertainment’s recent establishment, validating Scotland’s creative prowess and commercial readiness.
