The Power of Doodling Showcased in Festival
Animation-stars Converge for Part 18: The Cosmos Strikes Back
So, the ANIMASYROS International Animation Festival is back and getting more cosmic than a space shuttle disco party. Animation legend Bill Plympton, sharing the same air-space along with fans from across the globe, will conjure galaxies full of wonder and imagination. The theme, fittingly, is “Animated Cosmos”, boasting more twinkly things than a glitter factory explosion. The rostrum beams brightly with firsthand premieres of award-absorbing films, potentially making everyone’s evening chock-full of the phrase, “Wow, that was out of this world!”
The festival isn’t just about going (inter)stellar, though. It stays grounded by throwing a sincere nod towards The Great Greek Masters, because what’s a festival without a little heritage homage? Not to be left out, the flourishing Croatian animation scene is showcased because, let’s face it, who doesn’t love a bit of vibrant variety?
In a galaxy not so far away, also known as this event, the stars are evidently not just up in the sky. They’ve set up camp on earth to light up the animation scene with their brilliance. As a fan, you’ll either leave feeling absolutely star-struck or with an urge to start doodling your own cosmos. Either way, the force is definitely strong with this one!
