The 52-part series, from the creatives behind Quentin Blake’s Box of Treasures and in partnership with Red Monk Studio (Italy) and Wild Child Animation (Scotland), has gained support from the BBC and RAI, as well as funding from the UK Global Screen Fund – the UK Government’s Department for Culture, Media and Sport’s funding initiative, supervised by the BFI.
Designed for 5–8-year-olds, Piripenguins introduces a bubbly, spontaneous group of penguins navigating life on a secluded iceberg. The series follows five unique penguins, each with their own quirks, brought to life by a vast cast. Their life on the iceberg presents many comedic challenges and life lessons on friendship, self-discovery and life itself.
