In a remarkable mash-up of hoppy hops and gold medals, Corona Cero, the non-alcoholic arm of the popular beer brand has become the official brewski sober-ski cheerleader of the Olympic Games. With a sparkling ad crafted by the creative wizards at Final Frontier and Le Cube, it’s clear that the only six-pack the Olympics need is a Corona Cero one. It’s like the Olympics, but with less sweat and more froth. In a ‘beer-illiant’ move, Corona Cero is smacking it out of the park…or should we say, bar? It’s a whole new tub of popcorn in advertising history. So grab a frosty Cero, sit back, and let’s watch how this golden partnership unfolds. Beer and sports – who would’ve thought?

Final Frontier and Le Cube have partnered with DAVID agency to craft “Corona Golden Moment”, an animated film for Corona Cero, the first-ever beer brand to sponsor the Olympic Games worldwide. The revamped Corona Cero is part of the “Celebrating Each Golden Moment” worldwide Olympic campaign.

The “Corona Golden Moment” is a 2D animated film with a character-centric approach, under the innovative direction of Andrea Devia-Nuño, a rising female animation director from renowned Le Cube studio.

The animation captures the concept of the “outro”, the euphoric moment post-competition, marking the commencement of celebrations, and inviting everyone to share the athletes’ golden moments. This all occurs around a bottle of Corona Cero with friends.

Set against a stunning golden hour backdrop, with intricate transitions and dynamic camera movements, Le Cube and Devia-Nuño take the viewers on a whirlwind cinematic journey. The scene transforms from the empty aftermath of the Olympic courts to the realms of happiness: where swimmers head to the beach, surfers ride the waves, synchronised swimmers create perfect choreographies, sailors sail through gleaming waters, volleyball starts, and the ball morphs into the sun, connecting different scenes fluidly and dream-like.

Ralph Karam, the Founder and Creative Director at Le Cube and Co-Founder and Partner at Final Frontier, spoke about their production process:

I am astoundingly proud seeing our robust creative and production pipeline, systems, and processes functioning flawlessly with a new director. It’s fulfilling to foster new talent, giving them access to tools and enhancements we’ve developed over a decade in producing top-notch cell-animation. Cultivating new talent is key for our industry, and the results have been outstanding, upholding the high standards that embody Le Cube and Final Frontier’s work.

Andrea Devia-Nuño’s direction expertly intertwines the competitive spirit of the games with the ecstasy of sports, leading to a truly entertaining film commemorating the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Raise a toast to every golden moment!

When a forward-thinking agency like David comes up with such a stellar idea and a personality like Carlos Camacho invites you onboard, you jump at the chance. The end result is always spectacular and this film is no exception. I am exceedingly pleased we managed to pull it off within the tight timeframe and exciting to infuse fresh talent of Andrea into our powerhouse, Le Cube.
