Hot Take
Blind Pig is clearly not just making your average ‘hogwash’ animations here. They’re using the art of 3D animation to quite literally draw everyone into their incredibly detailed and evocative pigpen. Obviously, the promotions were just a cherry on top – proving once again, it’s possible to ham it up and still get the work done in style.
To the lucky ones who snagged a promotion, we say: ‘Pigs might not fly, but at least your careers are taking off’. Moving to Fitzrovia? Talk about putting the ‘sty’ in style, amirite? Looks like the Blind Pig team is hot on the trotters (forgive the pun) of worldwide animation domination. Watch out world, because when this pigsty throws mud, it sticks. So, let’s root for them – these guys clearly know how to hog the spotlight.
Renowned animation house, Blind Pig, is ringing in a series of high-level promotions within its artistic and production departments. These shifts pave an innovative path forward for the company as it finds home in its new Fitzrovia location.
In recent times, the studio has accumulated a faithful audience internationally, extending its influence across global platforms like New York, Amsterdam, and Dubai. Parallel to this, it has seen a surge in its film & TV ventures, designing compelling title sequences and visual graphics for industry giants like Netflix and National Geographic.
Elevating from the Creative Director position, Ric Comline now serves as the Executive Creative Director of Blind Pig. Since establishing the company in 2009, Ric has become a key influencer in both spearheading creativity and fostering a diverse, talented team. Moreover, his new role will see him directing original visions and steering the studio’s future growth.
Entrusting Thierry Levy with the title of Head of Production, he bids adieu to his previous role of Executive Producer. Levy’s extensive knowledge in production workflows, coupled with his connections with artists and clientele, make him a fitting leader to overlook projects, cultivate work culture, and venture into international business domains.
Christine Peters, having transitioned from 2D Lead to 2D Creative Director, will remain the critical force behind all 2D animation projects. Her responsibilities will involve directing creative briefs and meticulously supervising traditional frame-by-frame ventures.
Sean Cooper’s advancement from 3D Lead to 3D Creative Director will allow him to lead 3D visions and manage all CG assignments. He will also contribute creatively and strategically to the projects.
We’re thrilled regarding Blind Pig’s future trajectory. We are being presented with distinctive creative assignments and are ecstatic about taking our brand global. Stay tuned!
