Commenting on the series’ global reach, Sixteen South’s Creative Director, Colin Williams said:
We are thrilled to see how popular our zany coalition of animated animal friends has become across the globe. Their outrageous adventures, packed with lessons about friendship and teamwork, are clearly resonating with audiences everywhere.
Entertaining and heartwarming, Coop Troop is all about the wild escapades of a quirky quintet of farm animals – hyperactive rabbit Maggie, inventive chicken Flo, sophisticated pig Clive, adventurous lamb Billy, and mysterious egg, Jo d’Oeuf. Their rescue missions to assist other animals in need keep the residents of the neighbouring town, Animauville, in stitches.
Beyond its comedic roles, the series also imparts valuable lessons about friendship and teamwork to its young viewers.
As Sixteen South Originals’ inaugural show targeting an older age group and its first CGI series, Coop Troop is co-produced in collaboration with Mikros Animation IP, France Télévisions, and Tencent Video in China. Alex T. Smith, children’s author and illustrator, and Colin Williams of Sixteen South together created the series, which premiered on France Télévisions in 2023. Distribution rights outside France and China are managed by Sixteen South Rights, supported by funding from the UK Global Screen Fund, DCMS, BFI, Northern Ireland Screen, CNC, and Région Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur.
