Introducing the Innovative Script Consultants in Animation Training Course: Apply by November 3, 2025!
CEE Animation Workshop presents an annual training course dedicated to enhancing the expertise of producers and their creative teams (scriptwriters/directors/art directors, etc.) in the realm of animation.. This training is accessible to international animation industry professionals, particularly those from countries with limited production resources.
With a strategy designed to meet the needs of prodigious animation teams, the CEE Animation Workshop caters to any project format (short films, TV series, specials, feature films, hybrid films, XR) in various stages of development. In 2026, alongside the regular programme, we are hailing the inaugural Script Consultants in Animation training course.
The 2026 CEE Animation Workshop application call is divided into the following categories:
Project Development
Over the course of our year-long workshop, participants have the chance to cultivate their scripts, master pitching skills, and gain insightful knowledge from industry professionals via exclusive lectures and successful project case studies.
Career-focused Participants
The career-focused trainees, even without a project, are encouraged to join a project team as ‘shadow producers’. Full participation in the program, inclusive of personal coaching from established animation industry professionals, is their gateway towards defining their path in their animation career.
Script Consultants in Animation – NEW!
This innovative two-year pilot course is an intense, all-inclusive training for those driven to take on script consulting roles in animation as a viable career path.

The Eighth CEE Animation Workshop will commence from February to October 2026 with a series of four one-week modules. Two online modules and two on-site modules in different European countries are planned. Trainees will also have the opportunity to attend the iconic CEE Animation Forum 2026 in Czechia.
The workshop is facilitated by reputable animation professionals who will oversee and mentor projects throughout the program. Script consultants Phil Parker (United Kingdom) and Rita Domonyi (Hungary), along with renowned producers Réka Temple (Cinemon Entertainment, Hungary) and Annemie Degryse (Lumiere Group / Beast Studio, Belgium), will be returning as group leaders.
Thrilled to launch the eighth edition of the CEE Animation Workshop, setting foot in Norway for the first time! Alongside this, we are debuting the first-ever Script Consultants in Animation course. Developed in alliance with our experienced tutors and animation dramaturges Phil Parker and Rita Domonyi, who collectively have over 50 years of animation writing experience, we believe the course will prove immensely successful.

In its previous seven runs, the CEE Animation Workshop has fostered over 80 projects, benefiting 250 participants globally. Over 200 guest lecturers and representatives from the animation industry have imparted their wisdom during these workshops.
CEE Animation Workshop 2026 is organized by The Slovene Animated Film Association – DSAF, CEE Animation, the Slovak Association of Animated Film Producers – APAF, in collaboration with Lillywood and Nordic Animation.
