FLAMIN Animations Open Call

Applications are open until 27th May 2025 for the FLAMIN Animations program.

FLAMIN Animations is a commissioning program run by Film London Artists’ Moving Image Network (FLAMIN).

The program is aimed at early-career Black and global majority artists working in animation.

This initiative is in its fifth year and is designed to support artists entering into a career in the field.

Hot Take: From the FLAMIN Hot World of Animation

To all you talented artists who’ve been doodling fantasy creatures on your notepads when you should’ve been taking math notes, we got some good news! FLAMIN Animations is back with a bang to put some pep in your step – or rather, some slick moves in your animation loops. Not just any artists, mind you, but ones from the Black and global majority communities – they’re serving up a well-cooked plateful of opportunity, and boy does it sizzle!

Now, let’s get real. Disrupting your Netflix schedule to actually create animation won’t be easy – it’s not all kittens and unicorns dancing in a meadow. It’s their fifth year in the wild animation jungle, so they’ve got battle scars and survival tactics to share. And let’s not forget the potential for cool bragging rights – “Yeah, I trained with FLAMIN Animations, no biggie.” Fly over to FLAMIN Animations land before 27th May 2025 and take charge of your animation career. Be warned though: This might mean less time for doodling those fantasy creatures!
