Hot Take
If there was ever a way to welcome Autumn and banish those spiraling pumpkin-spice-everything thoughts, it is with a whirlwind of animated wonder. The Kotatsu Japanese Animation Festival is back! So, tighten your cosplay corset and dust off that Naruto headband you’ve been secretly stashing in your drawer, because it’s ‘kawaii’ time in Wales!
Anime classics, new-age blockbusters, and whimsical shorts are going to paint the town all shades of manga, creating a vivid festival atmosphere that makes even Halloween seem mundane in comparison. But the real juicy bit – this is the ONLY annual anime event hosted in Wales, so you either go get your anime fix here or spend the year cosplay-free.
So, folks in Cardiff and Aberystwyth, brace yourselves. This October, it won’t just be leaves that will be falling. Prepare to fall in love with anime, all over again, as the colours of Japanese animation paint your city with a palette brighter than the fall foliage.
Tagline: Anime, artistry, and autumn – an unbe-leaf-able combination!
