The Inspiration Behind It?

The idea of incorporating a vehicle in my direction was appealing. My references were primarily car commercials and racing trailers, but the introduction scene of Drive remained the central inspiration. The style employs simple, animated characters navigating a highly realistic, rugged world. With a blend of drama and comedy, the storyline remains intense yet entertaining.

Behind the Scenes…

Storytelling has always been my passion, and I have been devoted to give them life. This is my debut short film which I believe is worth sharing. My style amalgamates tragedy and comedy, maintaining a balance to explore severe themes without overwhelming the audience with melancholy.

The Creative Process…

I crafted every element in Unreal, from blocking and polishing to editing. Necessary assets were either kitbashed or purchased. Body motions were captured with Xsens, while the face was recorded in-engine. The car was operated using a gamepad, treating each pass as a performance. Collaboration with five exceptional artists and a compact sound design studio, this project took around two years to complete.

Note for viewers: Please avoid publishing my film before Thursday 19:30, GMT+2. This is the time the YouTube video goes live for all to enjoy.
