Summary of ‘Memoir of a Snail’: UK Sneak-Peek Premiere and Q&A with Director

Summary of ‘Memoir of a Snail’: The UK Sneak-Peek

  • Adam Elliot’s award-winning animation film, “MEMOIR OF A SNAIL”, has special preview screenings across the UK this coming weekend ahead of its wider release on February 14, 2025.
  • These screenings will be followed by a Q&A session with Elliot himself, giving a chance for all the curious snails (read: audience) to grapple with the mastermind behind this melo-drama
  • The screenings will be distributed via Modern Films offering an exclusive front-row experience before anyone else gets to see this shell-shedding extravaganza.

Epi-‘Snail’-Logue:

In a world that almost moves at the speed of light, one daring director decided to tale the tale of a snail. Behold, as the suspense un-shells itself (couldn’t resist that) at exclusive previews across the UK! Impatient animation enthusiasts, don your 3D glasses and prepare for a slime-inspired, slow-mo big-screen treat! It’s really the only time you’re allowed to support something moving at a snail’s pace.

The art in Adam Elliot’s ‘Memoir of a Snail’ is the kind to evoke emotion even from a hibernating reptile. Hear it from the horse’s mouth, or rather, the snail’s antennae, as Elliot graces post-screening Q&A sessions, probably the icing on this slime-coated cake. You don’t want to race ahead and miss out on this one! The wide release isn’t until February 14, 2025, but for those early birds who can’t wait, pull up to the previews – or shall we say, the snail’s pace event of the century!

Catch an exclusive pre-release screening of Adam Elliot’s award-winning movie, Memoir of a Snail, across the UK this weekend. Plus, stay for a post-screening Q&A session with director Adam Elliot.

Following its successful premiere at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival where it walked away with the Best Film ‘Cristal’ Award, Memoir of a Snail continues to rake in accolades, and is currently in the running for two Annie Awards and a potential 2025 BAFTA nomination.

The film tells the story of Grace Pudel, a lonely outcast who finds solace in ornamental snails and books, and forms an unlikely friendship with a spirited elderly woman named Pinky.

The stop-motion animation film, which is Elliot’s first in 15 years following Mary & Max, takes you on a journey one frame at a time, featuring over 7,000 handmade unique and tangible objects.

Memoir of a Snail officially hits UK and Ireland cinemas on February 14, 2025.
