Hello, I’m Sen, an indie creative director, curator of the African animation industry and proud Nigerian living in the UK. Last year we held the inaugural African Animated Shorts Experience and it exceeded all expectations. Not only did it attract animations from every corner of Africa – from Egypt, Kenya, Uganda, South Africa, Nigeria, to Ghana – but it also featured comic books and novels by African visionaries.

That inaugural event was successful, but ran on a shoestring budget. This year, without similar sponsorship, we’re amid potential cancellation. This event, already slated for September 2024, will only take place with YOUR support. We’re dreaming big for 2025 with plans to elevate this event to a full-scale film festival. To do this, we need showing a successful track record to potential sponsors, making the success of this year’s event crucial.
