Unearthing the Magic Behind BBC’s ASMR Podcast: An Artistic Dive with Directors Joseph Wallace and Yoav Segal
After their successful collaboration on a Halloween Themed Christmas promo, renowned stop motion director Joseph Wallace and inventive creative director Yoav Segal from Atime Works, team up yet again to craft an enchantingly soothing brand film for the BBC’s premier ASMR podcast – The Sleeping Forecast.
Titled ‘Unable to Resist a Good Slumber?’ and presented in visually intriguing stop frame animation, this brand film showcases an array of characters gently falling into sleep – thanks to the podcast’s calming narrative! With a strikingly theatrical aesthetic of vividly colored cycloramas, model puppets, and lifelike animated lighting, the project is a clever homage to the centenario of the Shipping Forecast – the source of origin for The Sleeping Forecast – featuring a sprinkle of maritime nods for avid observers.
