Andarta Pictures Gets Animated
– In the realm of ‘cool bits’ from the interwebz, Andarta Pictures has announced its new animated series: an adaptation of the literary saga, ‘5 Worlds.’
– They’ve managed to snatch up the rights for adapting Mark and Alexis Siegel’s five graphic novels into cartoon magic… presumably after a wild bidding war with the powers of Zorgon 7.
– In case it wasn’t clear, this isn’t just some ‘Saturday morning cereal sidekick’ stuff. Nope, we’re talking a full-blown sci-fi saga aimed at tweens and kids!
– The project was chosen and showcased at ‘Cartoon Forum’, a prestigious animation event that’s harder to get into than a squirrel’s secret nut stash.
Picture Perfect Debut
So, here’s my ‘Hot Take’:
As far as animation news goes, this is bigger than Bambi’s big eyes. Andarta Pictures isn’t just sticking its toe in the animation pool, they’re cannonballing in, with speedos, snorkel, and a rubber ducky floatie! They’re not just making an animation – they’ve got a top-notch, kick-butt sci-fi saga that could be the next ‘Avatar The Last Airbender’ (minus the awful M. Night Shyamalan movie adaptation, please). Adapting literary material has a world of potential – pun totally intended – and I can’t wait to see how Andarta will navigate through these ‘5 Worlds.’ Here’s raising a metaphorical toast to the folks at Andarta Pictures: May their navigation be equipped with high tech lasers, and may their animation journey be as exciting as a squirrel finding a secret nut stash bigger than a Saturday morning cartoon marathon!
We at Andarta Pictures are excited to introduce our latest animation project: the captivating saga, 5 Worlds. As official selections at the Cartoon Forum, this children and tween-friendly sci-fi story, based on the popular graphic novels by Mark and Alexis Siegel and artistically brought to life by Boya Sun, Xanthe Bouma and Matt Rockefeller, promises an enchanting odyssey through a cosmos teeming with ecological wonders.

Andarta Pictures Expands Portfolio with Second Major Intellectual Property
Andarta Pictures is no newcomer to high-profile adaptations. After acquiring the rights to the renowned Ewilan’s Quest in 2017, the studio is now set to adapt its first Franco-American property.
As an admirer of 5 Worlds‘ stunning visuals, I found myself completely absorbed in the depth of its narrative during the 2020 lockdown. When Mark Siegel, the author of 5 Worlds, reached out to me, I knew our common vision was perfectly aligned with Andarta Pictures’ objective: guiding young audiences through magical realities. In every sense, adapting 5 Worlds felt entirely right.
-Sophie Saget, Producer and Founder, Andarta Pictures
Showcasing such an array of relevant topics made the collaboration with Andarta an instant hit. By adapting 5 Worlds, Andarta hopes to disrupt the norm and foster global collaboration.
5 Worlds is a thrilling convergence of Star Wars and Narnia – a space epic at its finest. This project is unique, in that we’re tasked with constructing not one, but five sprawling universes, each brimming with its own distinct history and cultures—a fun and formidable challenge for our creative team!”

A Community-Based Endeavor with the Siegel Siblings and the Fandom
Staying true to its collaborative spirit, the studio is involving its fanbase from the onset. In the spirit of Ewilan’s Quest, we are establishing open lines of communication on social platforms, inviting fans to engage directly with the evolution of the project in real-time.
In addition to the fans, Andarta Pictures is also collaborating with the minds behind the saga, Mark and Alexis Siegel, who were deeply taken with Andarta’s adaptation of Ewilan’s Quest.
As the 5 Worlds team, we adore the animating art. When I showed my team Andarta’s adaptation, we were all struck by our shared artistic direction. I reached out to Sophie Saget, found shared admiration for 5 Worlds. We couldn’t have asked for a better partner than Andarta for this large-scale adaptation that beautifully represents French animation.
