Animations, Assemble!
Let’s take a moment to appreciate the diverse gathering at ANIMASYROS 2024. I mean, if united we stand, then this year’s animation festival should’ve been the strongest fortress you could find! Sure, the Great Wall of China is impressive, but did they host 261 animated films? I didn’t think so.
Beautiful Men’s Beautiful Victory
Let’s talk about “Beautiful Men” stealing the beloved Grand Prize. It looks like being beautiful really does pay off, ladies and gentlemen – in the world of animation at least! This event was definitely a testament to the growing global interest in animation. Animators worldwide are now likely creating beautiful pieces (men or otherwise) in closed dark rooms, with pizza boxes towering nearby, hoping to take home the prize next year.
Well, hats off to “Beautiful Men” creators who’ve proven, that yes, beauty isn’t everything. But right now, in their moment of basking in glorious victory? It’s probably everything. So here’s to beautiful animations and hopefully more beautiful men—aliens, animals, and inanimate objects—in our animated features. If they keep getting this much love, we’ll all be animator wannabes by ANIMASYROS 2025.
My Hot Take:
ANIMASYROS 2024 took us on an animation rollercoaster, showcasing creativity from all around the globe, and proved that animated films still have the power to captivate us, transport us to different worlds, and even teach us a thing or two about aesthetics. In a world that’s becoming increasingly ‘virtual,’ these talented creators bring emotions, stories, and yes, ‘beautiful men’ to life, making our reality a tiny bit more animated. And who wouldn’t appreciate more animation and less real world drama, right? Bring on ANIMASYROS 2025, we say!
