From PJs to Tuxedos: Cardiff Animation Nights now Charging into the Big Screen

– Cardiff Animation Nights (CAN) is moving beyond hosting online screenings given the success of 2023, only to surprise fans with their very first award night scheduled for Wednesday, 6th December 8pm at The Underdog in Cardiff.
– To make this happen, CAN has thrown open its doors for global submissions since the end of 2022 and has received an overwhelming number of movies from around the world.
– The final selection of movies will be left up to the mercy of a jury, presumably composed of wise and witty animation gurus.

Following their last online showcase of 2023, the Cardiff Animation Nights crew have declared that their inaugural CAN Awards will transpire on Wednesday, 6th December at 8pm at The Underdog in Cardiff.
After receiving submissions from hundreds of films globally at the end of 2022, a jury consisting of eleven animation industry experts have curtailed a shortlist of CAN Award nominees from the films officially selected over the year. The victor will be decided by audience voting on the event night and will get a custom trophy crafted by Sculpt Double.
This maiden year of open submissions for Cardiff Animation Nights saw us receive films from worldwide originators! Our jury of 11 reputable professionals handpicked a fan-favourite film from each month’s screening throughout the year.
