Premium animation studio, Cloud 10 Studios, is unveiling their fascinating 22-minute 3D animated Family Christmas Special ‘The Greatest Gift: The Wrong Hat, to be showcased at MIP JUNIOR, and MIPCOM.
Helmed by renowned US feature production executive Tracey Dispensa, formerly with DreamWorks and Disney/ILM, Cloud 10 Studios have amassed an exceptional, award-winning executive team for this fully-funded project, ready for release by year-end 2025. Produced by Tracey Dispensa who also contributed her talent to famous titles like Shrek, Madagascar, How to Train Your Dragon. Directing the film is The Greatest Gift by Gary Trousdale, credited with directing classics like Beauty and the Beast, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, and Atlantis. Assisting in the character designing and consultation is Floyd Norman, he is known for his incredible work on Mulan and The Hunchback of Notre Dame.
Veteran industry professionals Joyce Miller and Rob Doherty have joined the project as Executive Producers, aligning with Tracey Dispensa to amplify the project’s presence and establishing partnerships for distribution, along with developing the franchise.
Joyce Miller is renowned for overseeing more than 150 animated productions across North America, Europe, and Asia, as both an Executive and Producer. Creator of Linden Animation Consulting, she has held positions like Senior Manager Animation Production for Netflix’s Television Series, Senior Director of Production at Spin Master Entertainment, and Vice President, Production at DisneyToon Studios.
For over three decades, Rob Doherty has specialized in children’s television and animation, holding key positions across production and broadcasting with institutions like Aardman Animations, Disney, M2 Films, ITV, Endemol, Initial Productions, TVC Cartoons, and Cake Entertainment.
Imagine a magical world secretly hidden within every Christmas tree. In this charming holiday special for families, the tree ornaments spring to life with the spirit of the Christmas season. While the external world sees just an ordinary tree, within its branches, these ornaments busy themselves as the guardians of Christmas joy, maintaining the festive magic for the special day.
Amidst the holiday sparkle, a small glitch risks the joyous ambiance, leaving Christmas morning in jeopardy. Our hero Chris, a newly introduced dinosaur ornament, sets on a quest to locate his lost hat and make his mark among the group of ornaments, and in the process, discovers that real Christmas magic isn’t about flawlessness, but is a combination of courage, friendship, and the spirit that binds it all.
The captivating ‘The Greatest Gift: The Wrong Hat‘ is merely the beginning, with a feature film, TV series, more holiday specials, and a merchandising program already in pipeline, under funding. The first merchandise deal has been struck with Lionel Trains to create a Cloud 10-themed train. Plans are even underway to develop an enthralling show and live events.
